We adapt to your needs. If your manuscript is ready we can edit, design, and produce your book. If you have yet to write it, we help you lay out a work schedule and goals, edit your text, and turn it into a book.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take to make my book?
It depends on the type of book, the amount of material, and the time you need to review proofs.
A surprise book takes around 6 to 12 weeks, from the time we receive your materials to final delivery.
A family cookbook takes between 8 and 16 weeks, depending on the number of recipes.
Memoirs can take from 4 months to over a year.

What size can you make my book?
The most common sizes, in inches, are 7x7, 6x9, 8x10, 13x11 and 12x12.

How is my book printed?
It's printed on advanced digital printers, on paper selected for high quality books.

What are my binding options?
• Cloth-covered hardcover, wrapped in a full color jacket.
• Hardcover with full color image printed on the cover itself (imagewrap).
• Full color softcover.
• Extra options: special cloth or leatherette, stamping on the cover and/or spine, custom case.

How do I prepare my images?
We can scan your photos and documents. You send us the materials in envelopes, organized by chapter, and we'll do the rest. Please ask for scanning services when asking for a quote.

Can I scan my images myself?
If you wish to do the scanning yourself, please follow the guidelines in the worksheet we'll provide. We ask you to send us two samples of your scans by email so we can verify the image quality before you continue.

Do you color-correct my images?
• If you provide scans or digital pictures we will not alter them, so please make sure they look as you'd like to see them. If you want us to make color corrections or enhance the images (for example, eliminate dust marks) we'll provide you an estimate.
• If we do the scanning we'll do a basic color correction.

Do you restore photos?
Yes. We can clean up and restore pictures affected by scratches, stains, or other types of damage.

Do you make books for businesses and groups?
Yes. Consult us about your idea.

Do you work with photographers?
Yes. We offer full design and production services.
